Tensile-Tuff mesh
Crimsafe windows and doors use a special 304-grade tensile stainless mesh, which is extremely difficult to penetrate or cut. Our mesh strands are up to 25% thicker than most competitors, at .9mm in diameter. -
Crimsafe in-frame Clamping System
For our frames we use a special high-strength tempered aluminium framing system with our patented hook-clamping system. If the mesh screen receives an impact, it will cause leverage on the hook-clamping system, which causes the frame to clamp down harder on the screen, thus more firmly securing the screen in place with each impact.

Screw-clamp technology
We use proprietary patented tamper-resistant screws. These screws pass through the aluminum hooked frame clamps and the mesh screen, and then straight into the door or window frame. This mechanical fastening of the mesh to the frame makes it very difficult to pull the mesh out of place.
Australian Standards 5039 compliant
The authority of Australian Standards has established a set of tests that all security screens must pass in order to meet the national requirements. These are the tests the Crimsafe security screens passed to be in compliance with Australian Standards 5039:

The Knife Sheer Test
The test determines how well a security screen endures a knife attack. -
The Sheer Test
Like the knife test, a sheer test involves conducting a cutting plier attack. -
The Pull Test
This test involves seeing if an intruder can pull the screen apart, and this is usually performed after the jimmy test.

The Anti-Jimmy Test
During this test, a wedge or lever is used to attempt to jimmy the lock. -
The Impact Test
To pass this test, a door must withstand five heavy impacts. -
The Probe Test
This test simulates an intruder attempting to create a gap underneath the screen so they can open a window with a probe.
